| Another Scotsman who was to have a long career at Valley Parade. Willie joined City from Airdrieonians in May 1921 for a then record fee of £3,050. | He made 347 appearances for the Paraders at left back. He captained City to the Third Division (North) Championship in 1928. |

| His only goal for the club was a spectacular long-range effort against Portsmouth, which he hit home from inside his own half! | Willie left for Walsall in August 1931 after ten fruitful years at Valley Parade. He played only one season at Walsall before returning to Bradford to become a publican in Baildon.
